Catalyst for Change
The Applied Sustainability Center was established in July 2007 with a $1.5 million grant from the Walmart Foundation and is based at the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business. Our vision is to accelerate the creation of a sustainable global consumer goods economy. Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for innovation in the retail and consumer goods industries using the lens of sustainability. We have developed a broad-based coalition of partners including consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, industry associations, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies to advance our efforts in building and supporting an economy built around people, planet and profit.
